A quick favor (but not that one—yet)

Staying Connected as We Grow

Hi there,

Every week, I sit down to write this note with a lot of gratitude—and a growing sense of momentum.

This community has already done so much. You’ve referred friends, shared our work, and helped us imagine what ShadowNursing could look like at scale. And soon, we’ll be asking for something bigger: to help us reach our very first 100 Medicare patients.

That milestone means revenue. It means validation. And it means we’ll finally get to start paying nurses for the kind of behind-the-scenes care families desperately need. You’ll get the full scoop (and a registration link for your Medicare-eligible loved ones) in an upcoming email—just give me one more week to finish the landing page.

In the meantime, I have a much smaller ask.

If you’re on Instagram, will you take 10 seconds to follow us?

If you comment on a recent post, we’ll DM you a promo code to our swag store. (My personal favorite is the ShadowNurse yoga mat—I love how it looks and feels. Our logo just… feels like care.)

I’m always hesitant to make these kinds of asks, but here’s why I’m doing it:

We need visibility. Not just to prove traction, but to rebrand what it means to be a nurse in today’s world. ShadowNursing is about giving nurses a platform to share their work, their voice, and their impact—clearly and publicly. Socials are where people hang out. They’re where opinions are formed. So they have to be part of this strategy.

And beyond that?

The more people who see us, the more families we can help.

More caregivers. More sandwich-generation moms trying to manage their parents’ care from afar. More patients who deserve better support. It all starts with being seen.

As always, thank you for being here. Thank you for reading.

Everything we’re building gets better because you’re a part of it.

With gratitude,
